    Default Contagion - Going to GDC 2012!


    We've been a bit quite yet hinted at a surprise in the works. Monochrome LLC will be attending GDC 2012 in San Francisco (March 5th ~ 9th) and will be located at GDC Play Kiosk #31 if you'd like to grab some swag and meet some of the developers as well as some other surprises!

    Not only that but we're currently working with Valve in regards to moving Contagion over to the new Engine which will benefit all. We've already received quite a lot of attention just being listed at GDC and hope to make many more waves the rest of the year. We've spoken with representatives from PAX Prime as well as Tokyo Game Show so expect much more.

    For now here are some in-game screenshots and an ambient track we use in-game to set the mood apart from our dynamic tracks.

    I would like to mention we are still in Alpha and a number of working features are not present in the screens such as Modular zombies and more-


    Looking forward to a very productive and exciting year and we hope to see you at GDC 2012 and any other events we can attend!

    Great job guys! I just can't imagine what great work you can do if you use the latest Source engine (Portal 2) to create such a amazing lighting effects and such (you remember the dark part in Portal 2 where Wheatley is showing your way, thats what I am talking about).

    Whitey has not been denied or confirmed yet so for now we shall just call him Orange Pants Dude. BTW this sounds like great news to me, is there a possibility of ZPS getting a visual upgrade??

    Nice screenshots, but I think that there is a very little detail that look strange, some parts are too... "squary", I don't know if people agree with me but anyway, I share my opinion =)

    Good luck for porting everything in the new engine and all the best for GDC 2012 =)

    Squary? heh. I took a look at your talent page and zps map and you've got two screens which are pretty much just boxes. Was hoping to compare and maybe get an idea of what you mean exactly.

    Please feel free to toss us constructive criticism. Unfortunately "some" and "squary" is a tad vague.

    CONTAGION MINECRAFT EDITION, SQUARE ZOMBIES.

    TBH i didn't notice that, but graphics are trivial, i'd pick 50 hours of a game that looks like Pokemon Red for the Gameboy over 10 hours with a game made nowadays which the only thing it tries to excel in is eyecandy.
